Mike is currently Head of Sixth form at Millfield, the UK's number 1 sports school for the last decade and Europe's largest boarding school. He has overseen the holistic development of countless elite athletes and high performing students, drawing on years of senior leadership in some of the UK's top independent schools.

He is formally a professional athlete, having represented Bath Rugby, Ulster, Pontypool, Clifton Rugby and represented Welsh 7's over a 15 year career.

Mike has also worked as a high performance coach with Dragons Rugby, Bristol Bears and Clifton Rugby as well as being a senior 1st XV coach at Millfield School.

Mike has a unique insight into the management of student athletes and specific mentoring and drives to put student athletes at the forefront of holistic programmes that aid their development.

Mike hails from a sporting background, with his father Paul, a member of the 1988 Olympic Gold Hockey team and balances his work with family life that include his two children, who are involved in academy level football programmes, again highlighting his understanding of the demands and pressures on both young athletes and parents.
